Stockton, CA - As the 2024 Presidential Primary Election concludes, Olivia Hale, San Joaquin County's Registrar of Voters, issued the following statement:

“We are pleased to report that processes ran smoothly during yesterday's election. Polls opened right on time and we saw a steady stream of voters coming in to vote in person or to drop off Votes by Mail ballots at our 153 polling places and at the 25 new election drop box locations.

Ballot counting is proceeding efficiently and accurately which allows poll results to post as expeditiously as possible. Our office will have an unprocessed ballot report posted by noon tomorrow (March 7) and an update of results after 5 p.m. on Friday (March 8). We will report on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, after 5 p.m., until all votes are counted.

I am proud of the open and transparent work we are accomplishing here in San Joaquin County, and I thank the ROV staff, along with the hundreds of volunteer poll workers – all of whom have worked tirelessly to ensure every vote could be cast, counted, and verified.
