Stockton, CA – The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters (ROV) will be conducting the One Percent (1%) Manual Tally Precinct Selection for the June 2, 2026, Statewide Primary Election on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
This event will be held at the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office, located at 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Suite 350, Stockton, California.
The following week on Monday, June 8, 2026, beginning at 8 a.m., the ROV’s Office will start retrieving the counted ballots from the precincts selected during the random draw on June 3rd for the 1% manual tally. The entire tally process is open to the public and will proceed daily, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, unless otherwise instructed by the ROV. The manual tally will conclude by June 25 at the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters’ Office.
The manual tally serves to validate the ballot tabulation conducted by the electronic voting systems prior to certifying the election results. Out of the 260 voting precincts for the June 2, 2026 Statewide Primary Election, three will be selected. The Registrar of Voters office will include additional precincts to cover all contests on ballot if not selected in the random selection.
Upon completion of the 1% manual tally and official certification of the election results by the ROV, the final official election results will be published on the San Joaquin County ROV website, www.sjcrov.org, and submitted to the California Secretary of State in the Official Statement of Votes Cast by July 2.
